Surprise Soiree Box

DIY

I don't know about you, but I get pretty freaking excited when I receive a package in the mail. Especially if I don't recall ordering anything.

Remember when you were a kid and you were dying to get mail? My father would always tell me, mail isn't that exciting when you're an adult, it's nothing but bills.

Yeah, like most things, he wasn't lying.

But packages?? YES! Bills do not come in boxes.

So when I found out that one of my friends was finally pregnant again, I knew I wanted to send her a little soiree in a box. I waited until she found out the gender so I could personalize it.

When she shared with me her breastfeeding goals, I immediately thought of my good friend Shelly from Kismet Love Collection

We teamed up to give her a little special delivery!

I purchased a few little goodies, created a little breastfeeding tip sheet, and a card. Oh! and a "pop me" balloon, duh... because what's a celebration without balloons and some confetti?

Shelly added her finishing touches with one of her fabulous nursing scarves and a sweet card. :)

A lovey for baby and a dope shade of lipstick for momma to go with her fab new scarf!

Nancy will now have 2 boys, just like Shelly and I. #teamboymoms

She shared her gift on her Instagram and we are happy to say she loved it!

I'm so excited for her new journey, and wish her best of luck. Especially with her breastfeeding journey, we all know it isn't easy at first.

You may not all know this, but prior to Happy Soiree, I had a breastfeeding blog. I posted all my tips from my journey breastfeeding Avery for about a year and a half. When I took down the breastfeeding blog I gave some of my favorite and most popular posts to Shelly. If you're interested you can find them here. There's even a great list of tips on how to get dad involved with helping you during your breastfeeding journey.

While you're there you should pick up a nursing scarf. You won't be disappointed. I'm not nursing anymore and I still wear mine!

Let me know what you think about this Soiree in a box, I'm thinking about creating some more. Different themes not just babies. Possibly run a giveaway?

xo,

Melinda
